What do you do?

when you hear loud shouting between a neighbour and her partner so loud that you can hear it over the top of the tv and you know they have 3 young children. Do you:

a) call the police

b) ignore it

c) wait it out then decide

Tonight I was faced in this situation and I called the police annoymously. While it might be over reacting and she and the kids might be fine I couldn't bear it if something happened and I didn't make the call.

I think I would do the same thing.

I recall reading about a woman who was attacked in West Melbourne a few months ago, people near-by reported hearing blood curdling screams but nobody did anything, I don't think anyone even called the police. That is so sad.

Paul called the police for similar reasons a few weeks ago. I think that it is always better to be safe than sorry - so to speak.

You did the right thing in my opinion.

thanks claire and kristy.

Claire, welcome back!

I did feel a little guilty 1.because I didn't even know the nieghbours name and 2.because I was possibly calling the police for nothing.

Its amazing how reassuring it can be putting it down in writing and then even better when people agree with you in the comments section ;-)
